What we do.

Uptown Arts and Culture Coalition (UACC) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that upholds the Uptown Arts District as a premier destination for creativity, expression, and community engagement.

We empower organizations and individuals to explore and celebrate the boundless possibilities of artistic expression. We advocate, build strategic partnerships, foster innovative programming, and hold an unyielding commitment to inclusivity. The coalition fosters creativity, champions the arts, and shapes a dynamic future for our district and beyond.

Our Activities

Public Space Enhancement

The UACC Public Space Enhancement Committee (aka Beautification) enhances the visual appeal of the Uptown Arts District, creating spaces that inspire joy, creativity, and a sense of belonging. Through art installations, murals, and streetscape enhancements, this committee aims to demonstrate the power of public art and overall community well-being.

Programming and Events

The Programming & Events Committee leads curation and coordination of diverse culture arts programs, events, and activations within the Uptown Arts District. This includes creative arts initiatives like Artists at the Center, the Uptown Art Walk, Storefronts Program, which all bring visbility and awareness to Uptown.

Property Development
& Arts Integration

The Property Development and Arts Integration committee integrates arts and culture into Uptown property projects. They liaison and  collaborate with developers, advocate for public art, creative spaces, and cultural amenities, while introducing and encouraging partnerships between developers and local artists. This committee helps advocate to preserve cultural assets and sustainable development.
